Welcoming the Day

As the city begins to stir, it’s Fernanda or Cintia who arrive first to fill our boutique hotel with the comforting aromas of breakfast. They’re the heart of our mornings, crafting dishes with care and bringing a gentle warmth to the start of every guest’s day.

Not long after, one of our reception girls—Ana Paula, Gabriela, Ana, or Inga—steps through the doors with a smile and a fresh batch of brioche from our favorite local bakery. They dive into the rhythm of the day, answering emails, checking reservations, inspecting the property and helping Fer or Cintia with breakfast preparations.

Breakfast Magic

By 8:30, the dining room is a happy flurry of guests enjoying everything that’s been lovingly prepared. There’s laughter, clinking coffee cups and conversations about what to explore in Lisbon.

Midday Flow

As the morning blends into the afternoon, one or two more of our reception girlies arrive to join the in-between and afternoon shift. In the background, our marketing team is snapping stories, weaving tales for social media, and—of course—chasing approvals to capture those perfect snapshots of life at toctoctoc.

Inga is the quiet hero of it all—managing the day-to-day, supporting the team and making sure everything runs seamlessly.

Check-Out & Housekeeping

Late morning brings a bittersweet wave of check-outs. While we’re sad to see guests go, it’s heartwarming to know they’re leaving content, already dreaming of their next stay.

Behind the scenes, Valeria and Leyde sweep through the rooms, turning them spotless and fresh so that every new arrival is met with a welcoming, cozy haven.

Afternoon Vibes

Throughout the day, there’s always the sweet scent of a cake baking in the kitchen—Fer or Cintia working their magic. We’re busy too: updating Excel sheets, making weather cards, setting the guest board and sharing our best recommendations for Lisbon’s hidden gems. The boutique store is carefully tended to, and the garden—our beautiful green sanctuary—is always at the heart of what we do.

Lunchtime is a brief moment to pause, savor a meal and catch our breath. But soon, it’s back to the buzz: checking in new arrivals, crafting fresh stories and making sure the entire hotel is ready for the evening.

As the sun begins to set, the afternoon shift passes the baton to the night. Lights are turned on, tea is brewed and music hums softly in the background. Final messages are answered, tomorrow’s plans are set and guests are given everything they need to feel right at home.
